Bread & Butter Works is operated by 29 Innovations LLC, based in Corona, California, USA. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use breadandbutter.works or any related app or service.

You give us: name, email, phone, ZIP code, profile photo, skills, bio, availability, optional government-issued ID for identity verification, job posts, applications, messages, and reviews.

Collected automatically: device and browser info, IP address, approximate location, pages visited, and basic usage analytics.

From third parties: identity verification results, optional background check results (Checkr). Bread & Butter Works does not process payments — posters and workers settle directly, so we do not collect payout or card details.

To operate the marketplace (match Posters and Workers, surface relevant jobs), verify identity, prevent fraud, send transactional emails (job updates, account notifications), respond to support requests, improve the product, and comply with law.

Public-facing information on your profile (first name, photo, ratings, reviews, badges, skills) is visible to other users. Government-issued IDs are never shown publicly. We share information with: identity / background check vendors (Checkr), customer support and email service providers, and law enforcement when legally required. We do not sell personal information.

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request a copy, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell). To exercise these rights, email privacy@breadandbutter.works. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

We keep account and transaction data while your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. Messages and job records are retained for at least 2 years.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

Bread & Butter Works is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
